⛄ 1. Snow Painting (If You Have Snow!)
Use spray bottles with food coloring. Fun and easy. Watch out for yellow snow 😜
🎄 2. Christmas Light Neighborhood Walk
Bundle up and walk the local light displays. We live in a sprawl area, so we pop popcorn, pack some cookies, and pour hot chocolate, and pack blankets. We drive to a neighborhood, roll the windows down and enjoy music and a drive.
🛷 3. Sledding Adventure
A classic that never gets old. Our kids really liked using a kids snowboard. It doesn’t have the boots or clips. Easy to slip on and learn in a safe way.
🔥 4. Backyard Fire Pit + S’mores
Holiday s’mores are the best s’mores. These are our absolute favorite. Everyone loves a nice fire and learning the art of roasting marshmallows.
🌲 5. Nature Scavenger Hunt
Look for pine cones, sticks, berries, etc. Our kids love a good scavenger hunt. It gets them engaged in simple walks and costs nothing.
⛸️ 6. Outdoor Ice Skating
So magical at night. We don’t get this opportunity much, so it’s very memorable when we do.
🐶 7. Dog-Friendly Winter Hikes
Let your pup enjoy the season too! They love being outside and their joy is infectious.
